The 77th PEN International Congress Resolutions
PEN International Congress Resolutions Belgrade | Sep 29, 2011 17:03
Dear PEN WiPCs,
Attached are the resolutions that were passed by the Assembly of Delegates at the PEN Congress held earlier this month in Belgrade. All have been sent to the respective governments, where appropriate and Centres may use the texts for publicity or advocacy. French and Spanish translations to follow.
The 77th PEN International Congress Resolutions >> A great deal of thought and energy has gone into the drafting of these texts and it would be great if Centres could ensure that they are as widely known as possible.
You may consider among other activities:
- Sending copies to the embassies of the countries concerned in your own country, with a cover note asking for the embassy's comment.
- Bringing them to the attention of the media in your own country.
- Post them on your websites.
Already Centres have sent the Mexican resolution to the representative of Mexico in their own country as part of our country focus of which further information will follow.
Do also remember to send us any responses you may get from these resolutions.
